Rudolf Steiner’s Birthday

Today is Rudolf Steiner’s birthday. There is some controversy on whether he was born on February 25, or on February 27th 1861. Either way these next few days are a good time to turn our thoughts, feelings and will impulses toward this individuality.

To the Jesus Being the Three Kings brought Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

What can we bring Rudolf Steiner this year, and increasingly every year, as a worthy gift?

Rudolf Steiner once said that he did not want to be revered but rather he intensely wished to be understood. Because to truly and really understand him is to understand ourselves to Know Ourselves.

So let’s bring him our understanding. Let’s try to better comprehend his intentions, his impulses. Let’s ask the questions that will lead us to “get it”.

It is a worthwhile endeavor. Understanding his work, Anthroposophy, the science of the Spiritual Man, ultimately benefits us ourselves. As the saying goes

“It helps us to become what we are.”

Brain Fog – A New Anthroposophic Way to Help

Brain Fog – A New Anthroposophic Way to Help!

We all know the feeling: the evening comes, we are tired and we have difficulty concentrating; or after the all too big lunch (or any meal) and we can barely keep the head up- let alone have the crisp mind for mental activity.

Even worse this condition can be nearly permanent in some people!

To help with this “state of mind” we need to understand some basic physiology from an anthroposophic point of view first. These insights were given by Rudolf Steiner in a lecture on 3.22.1923.

During eating, the digestive process gets activated and the etheric, life forces in the intestines become stronger. Additionally, an etheric image is generated by the plant product that has just been consumed. (It is similar with eating animal foods.) However, whatever excess activity has been generated in the metabolism is usually neutralized within a day or so.

Very importantly, however, while this is going on in the lower organism a “negative” is also created automatically in the upper organism, in the brain.

That is the rule for regular edible plants. A poisonous plant though has an additional element in this configuration. The poison is of an “astral”, soul like nature, normally seen only in animals but not “appropriate” in herbs and thus of more significant consequence. When we consume such a plant a much stronger form results in the intestine and the form does not get cleared so rapidly. It lingers much longer. The same goes for the “negative” created in the brain. It remains there much longer also. It also adds an additional “astrality”, soul quality, and yes, awakeness in the mind.

If this process is repeated over and over, an overcoming of the “foggy” mind, an overcoming of the mere “vegging”, numb, out of focus feeling, is achieved.

The most characteristic plant that is helpful in this respect is Hyoscyamus niger- black henbane.

Hyoscyamus 6x taken several times a day, throughout a longer period of time is a great remedy in this respect. (The same in a slightly different way can be accomplished with Belladonna.)

Invite us to your Community!

True Botanica Group 2013

Dear Customers, Colleagues, Friends,

For the last several years the True Botanica Foundation has traveled nationwide educating audiences in anthroposophy and anthroposophic medicine.

We would be happy to come to your community – large or small – and give workshops or lectures should there be interest in any of the following (or other) topics:

  • Anthroposophic answers in the treatment of illnesses (metabolic, cardiovascular, women’s health concerns, etc);
  • Emotional healing with anthroposophic remedies (overcoming stress, grief, traumas, etc);
  • Understanding constitutional types in children and dealing with children’s problems;
  • Learning eurythmy movements for daily practice;
  • Presentations on the esoteric basis of anthroposophic medicine;
  • Breakthroughs in anthroposophic medical research and new anthroposophic remedies.
  • Goetheanistic approaches to human physiology and natural science.

These presentations are offered by the doctors leading the TB Company and the TB Foundation. We have over 30 years of practice in anthroposophic medicine and over 40 years in study and living with anthroposophy.

You may see example of past educational activities on our Foundation website http://www.truebotanicafoundation.org/events/ .

We would assume essentially all the costs involved (f. ex. travel) and rely on donations to support the continuation of these activities.

We would be grateful for your support and suggestions in “spreading the word”.

Friendly yours,

Ross Rentea MD and the True Botanica Foundation

9/11 – An anthroposophic Observation

Twelve years ago the Twin Towers catastrophe happened. It has left an indelible imprint on our culture and hearts and minds.

And yet there is still another reason why this day should live in our consciousness.

Rudolf Steiner marks in his Calendar the 11th of September as a commemoration day of the Patriarch ABRAHAM! This indication is not to be taken lightly.

Abraham was entrusted by the spiritual world with the mission of quite literally introducing the logical thinking and nature observation into his descendants – into us. Up to then the world had been understood more through powers of mysticism. He was to begin the process of deciphering the mysteries of the natural, observable world by using the powers of logical reasoning, by understanding that the laws of the cosmos, of the stars are found in the world of the senses. Antimonium Crudum 6X bottle with sealsThe world of the Gods was to be discovered hence forth as also manifested in the earth not just to be experienced in the “heavens”. Such, according to Rudolf Steiner is the deeper meaning of the Biblical pronouncement that “your descendants shall be ordered by the laws of the stars.” This leads then to the formation of the 12 Tribes, and so on. (According to R. Steiner it is a mistranslation to say simply that his descendants were to be as numerous as the  stars, or as numerous as the sand by the sea.) All this happened in the 3rd millennium B.C.

However, following spiritual law individualities as exalted as Abraham most accomplish their mission twice! The second time needs to be in a sense a mirror image of the first.

Beginning with the year 2000 for the rest of the 3rd millennium Abraham now leads mankind to recognize that the spiritual laws manifest in the stars must be consciously understood in the culture, the nature and the substances around us. Just as he led mankind previously into a deeper connection with the earth this individuality will lead mankind now to a reconnecting with the spiritual impulses of the cosmos.

Millions of people are beginning to consider 9/11 as a day of service and are urging that 9/11 be designated as a National Day of Service. Let’s go in the deepest direction. We can consider September the 11, every year, in the spirit of Abraham, to be the beginning of a year in which impulses are to be renewed, impulses that lead to understanding the connection of our health substances with the star impulses that give them strength.

We are particularly grateful that the Launch of our new OTC Line of remedies with their Validated Potencies, and their decided connection to cosmic impulses, happens to fall on this day.

Please join us in celebrating with us.
