DIY Mother’s Day Gift

As Mother’s Day approaches this weekend, one True Botanica coworker shared her DIY gift idea. Since her mother is an avid tea drinker, she decided to decorate a mug and pair it with her mother’s favorite Green Tea. Check out the pictures below for a DIY project or, take mom along and make a fun day of it!

First draw on the lines that will serve as the stems to the blossom tree.

Next, apply polka dots to the lines to serve as the blossoms.

Use the back of the paint brush to apply the polka dot blossoms.

Finished mug before kiln

The mug is now complete and ready to be processed in the kiln!

Boswellia Lip Balm Holder

With Valentine’s Day approaching, the True Botanica team thought it would be fun to try out a new craft idea with our Boswellia Lip Balm. This fun (and easy) project is the perfect gift for your Valentine.

Supplies (feel free to get creative, but here are the supplies we used)

DIY Lip Balm collage 2

Felt
Card Stock
Construction Paper (optional for decorating)
Eyelet
Sewing Machine or Needle and Thread
Glue Stick
Scissors
Ribbon/Yarn (optional)

Instructions

Again, use your creative intuition, but the basic process is you want to sew a piece of felt to another piece of felt or piece of card stock so that the Boswellia Lip Balm fits snug inside. We added an eyelet to the top in order to tie a ribbon. As you can see, there are many different ways you can create this Lip Balm Holder, as long as the Lip Balm can be held in place, you’ve done it correctly!
